This Thanksgiving Weekend (Saturday, October 11) members and friends of the Shelburne Rotary Club will once again be collecting food donations for the Shelburne Food Bank.
In the week leading up to October 11, students from Centre Dufferin District High School will distribute paper bags to households around Shelburne.
If you are able, fill the bag with donations of food and place on your porch for collection after 9:30 am on Saturday, October 11.
If you miss the collection, you can bring your donation to PumpkinFest at Natasha Paterson Memorial Park on October 11, noon – 4 pm.
All donations are most appreciated, but there is a particular need for:
• canned fruits and vegetables and canned fish
• boxed food, baking supplies, condiments
• personal hygiene products (tampons, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
• peanut butter
• pancake mix and syrup, cereal
• pasta sauce
• bag lunch items for children (juice boxes, granola bars etc)
