On February 23, in 1905, Rotary held its first meeting in Chicago.
In April 1912, the Rotary Club of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, was chartered. Rotary then became “Rotary International”.
In April 1938, Shelburne Rotary was established.
Today, Rotary has over 1.4 million members worldwide.
Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self”.
